All Matches Announced for WWE SummerSlam 2026 So Far

WWE SummerSlam 2026 matches are coming together fast, and what is already on the card is enough to make this one of the most anticipated summers in recent memory. Three confirmed matches, a fourth with a champion and no opponent yet, and several major names still waiting in the wings. This is what the road to Minneapolis looks like as of July 1, 2026.

The 39th SummerSlam takes place across two nights, Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This will be the first-ever WWE stadium event held in Minneapolis, and only the second time the city has hosted SummerSlam, after the 1999 edition at Target Centre. Two nights, a stadium, and a card that is already stacking up. Here is everything confirmed so far.

WWE SummerSlam 2026: Event Details at a Glance

Fans in the United States can watch live on ESPN Unlimited, while international fans can catch all the action on Netflix, excluding select markets. Official start times for both nights will be confirmed by WWE closer to the event.

The two-night format, which WWE used for the first time at SummerSlam 2025, gives the card room to breathe. Instead of cramming every major match into a single four-hour window, WWE now has two full nights to build toward, which means more time per match, more meaningful entrances, and more room for surprises on night two. For a card that already has three world title implications locked in, having two nights makes a real difference.

All Confirmed Matches for WWE SummerSlam 2026

World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns accepted Seth Rollins' challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship during the main event segment of the June 29 Raw from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Rollins said that they have been bound to one another for 14 years since the formation of The Shield, then ran down a list of his accomplishments before pointing out that the one thing Reigns has never been able to do is beat him. He recalled the WrestleMania 31 cash-in, his sacrifice at WrestleMania 40, and his win over Reigns at WrestleMania 41 before issuing the challenge.

Reigns' response was short and direct. "You're right. I don't want to beat you; I need to beat you. I need my entire family to witness me beating you. At SummerSlam, that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I accept."

Fourteen years. Two nights. A stadium. This match did not need much selling.

Hell in a Cell: Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar

This one was not planned. It was personal.

Brock Lesnar interrupted Oba Femi's King of the Ring celebration at the start of Raw on June 29, attacking the 2026 King of the Ring winner before leaving without a word.

Femi recovered and stood up. Lesnar then issued the Hell in a Cell challenge, and Femi accepted, foregoing his guaranteed world championship match as King of the Ring to take the fight.

Adam Pearce confirmed the match on-screen, making it official. WWE framed Femi's decision as a deliberate choice, taking a legend test over a title shot to prove what he is capable of at the highest level.

This is the third match in the Femi-Lesnar trilogy, and the Cell stipulation raises every possible stake. Femi walking into Hell in a Cell against Brock Lesnar in Minneapolis, Lesnar's adopted hometown, with no title on the line but everything to prove, is exactly the kind of match that either makes a career or defines one.

Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs Iyo Sky

This one was confirmed before Raw even started.

At Night of Champions in Riyadh, Iyo Sky defeated Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring tournament final to earn a Women's World Championship match at SummerSlam. Morgan had entered the Queen of the Ring tournament as the reigning champion, looking to stack titles. Sky ended that plan in the final, then called her shot immediately after the bell.

Liv vs Iyo Sky

On Raw the following night, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez beat down Iyo Sky in a post-show segment, with Michael Cole confirming the Women's World Championship stipulation for SummerSlam.

Morgan has held the title since WrestleMania 42. Sky has been building toward this moment for months. Two of the best in the women's division right now, a championship on the line, and a rivalry that has been building since Night of Champions. This match is already the most personal on the confirmed card.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs TBD

Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a triple threat match to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions, ending Rhodes' latest reign at 112 days.

As of July 1, 2026, Zayn has no confirmed opponent for SummerSlam. WWE has not officially announced a challenger. The biggest open thread heading into the next few weeks is Zayn's title defence, with the Bloodline, specifically Jey Uso, appearing to circle the new champion on SmackDown.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio has said he expects King of the Ring winner Oba Femi to eventually challenge Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship, though Femi's current focus is the Hell in a Cell match with Lesnar at SummerSlam.

This is the last big piece of the puzzle, and it will probably be the last match WWE officially announces.

What Matches Are Expected But Not Yet Confirmed

The confirmed card is four matches deep, and with two nights to fill at a stadium, WWE needs significantly more. Here is what the reports are saying.

CM Punk: Reports Suggest SummerSlam Involvement

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, CM Punk will be a significant part of SummerSlam, which is scheduled for August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis. WrestleVotes also indicated that Punk could potentially appear as early as the July 18 Saturday Night's Main Event at Madison Square Garden.

Punk has been absent from WWE television since the Raw after WrestleMania 42. His last on-screen interaction was a brief exchange with Cody Rhodes, where Rhodes told him, "Just say when." With Rhodes now out of the title picture following his Night of Champions loss, a Punk vs Rhodes match at SummerSlam is one of the most discussed possibilities right now.

Randy Orton: An internal WWE Document Listed Him

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, an internal WWE document indicated that Randy Orton is part of WWE's plans for SummerSlam. Orton has been absent since losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 while recovering from a back injury.

No creative direction has been confirmed for Orton yet. But WWE does not put names on internal documents for a stadium show without a reason.

Rhea Ripley: Knee Injury Is the Only Obstacle

A match between Rhea Ripley and Jacy Jayne for the WWE Women's Championship has been pitched internally for SummerSlam, suggesting WWE expects Ripley to still be champion heading into the event. The knee injury she suffered at the Clash in Italy remains the only obstacle. If she is cleared, this match happens.

Kevin Owens: Waiting on Medical Clearance

WWE is hopeful that Kevin Owens will return at some point in 2026, with a medical re-evaluation scheduled for summer. His tailgate appearance at NXT Great American Bash on June 28 was the first step back into the public eye. SummerSlam in Minneapolis, a stadium show close to his home country, would be the loudest possible return.

Closing Thoughts

Four confirmed matches and the card already has more star power than most full PLEs. Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins is 14 years in the making. Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell is the kind of match that nobody saw coming a month ago, and now nobody wants to miss. Liv Morgan vs Iyo Sky has the personal heat to main event either night. And Sami Zayn, standing in the middle of it all as WWE Champion, still without a named opponent, is the biggest unanswered question in WWE right now. There are still five weeks of Raw and SmackDown to go, plus a Saturday Night's Main Event at Madison Square Garden on July 18. By the time the Minneapolis weekend arrives, this card will be stacked. Right now, it is already a card worth clearing your calendar for.
